Pastor Tom's May Newsletter 2020

May 2020

Dear Church Family,

God's faithfulness is again on display as winter gives way to spring. The rhubarb is sprouting out of frozen ground and the first mosquitos have made an appearance. Just like the passing of the seasons the Coronavirus seems to be losing some steam and the stay at home orders are beginning to be relaxed.

It may be soon and we will once again be able to fill the church for worship all together. That will be a day to celebrate! We will continue to livestream our service even after we are able to come back together for those who may still need to be home and for the many beyond our local body of believers who have begun watching the service. Pray that this capability will be used mightily by the Lord to reach the lost.

The annual fish fry is still on hold as of the writing of this letter but as soon as we have the green light to proceed we will schedule it and get the word out.

Mother’s Day is coming up on the 10th of May. Please make sure to honor your mother. If like me your mother has gone home to be with the Lord, adopt a mom and let them know they are special to you!

Preparations for VBS are ongoing! It is uncertain if the first week of June will work but we will know better by the middle of May. If you would like to help, please let Jennifer Gosh know… there are lots of opportunities to get involved.

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:2-4
