May '10 Dear Church Family,
The rhubarb and tulips are already pushing up through frozen ground eager for the return of the light and warmth of spring. This seems like a real act of faith because they begin while it is still too cold to grow but are ready to explode when the time is right. Can you think of a better example of how we should strain toward our Lord in faith and expectation so that when He shows us the time is right we will “spring” up in His presence to bloom and become all that He has purposed!
Mother’s day is coming up on the 9th of May. Please make sure to recognize your mother. If like me your mother has gone home to be with the Lord, adopt a mom and let them know they are special to you!
Preparations for VBS have begun, if you would like to help out please let Betty know. Also keep our summer mission trips in your prayers. Our youth will travel to Old Harbor in June and continue to minister there and a combined group will travel to Yengi, South Korean for the first two weeks of August. There are lots of opportunities to go, pray, or give to help Fairview Loop be successful in our missions.
Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”
